Where menopause shows up

Menopause touches more than hot flashes. Here is where it shows up, and how treatment reaches each place.

Body diagram
Hot flashes and sleepBrain

Lower estrogen unsettles the brain’s heat control. Hot flashes, night sweats and broken sleep follow.

Cream and patch skip a stepSkin

Through the skin, hormones reach the blood without the liver’s first pass.

Tissue gets thinnerPelvis

Vaginal and bladder tissue dry and thin without estrogen.

Bone thins fasterBone

Estrogen helps hold on to bone. Replacing it helps protect it.

How relief usually unfolds

Relief comes in waves. Sleep often returns first, and dryness takes the longest.

Heard from our members

Real members, in their own words, on what changed after their first visit.

I didn’t have to convince anyone.

I wasn’t sleeping, hot flashes caught me off guard, and I kept losing words mid-sentence. Separately, none of it sounded like much. Together, it was affecting my whole day. At Sipra, the doctor asked about all of it. I didn’t have to convince anyone something was wrong. Having someone take the whole picture seriously was such a relief.

Someone connected the dots.

Night sweats, poor sleep, short temper. I’d been treating each one on its own. The doctor asked about all of it together and explained how they were linked.

I wasn’t told to wait it out.

Two people had told me it would pass. The doctor took my symptoms seriously and walked me through options, risks included, so I could decide.

My history mattered.

My mother had breast cancer, so I came in worried. The doctor asked detailed questions about my family history and explained what that meant for my choices.

A cream fit my life better.

I didn’t want another pill. The doctor explained the forms side by side, and a cream I could fit into my evening routine was the right call for me.

The check-ins kept things on track.

At my check-in the doctor asked what had changed and adjusted the plan. It felt like ongoing care, not a one time prescription.

Sleep was the first thing I mentioned.

I hadn’t slept through the night in months. The doctor listened, asked about my routine and explained what progesterone at bedtime is meant to do.

Brain fog was taken seriously.

I was losing words in meetings and thought it was just stress. The doctor asked about it alongside everything else and didn’t dismiss it.

I could ask between visits.

A question about a missed dose came up on a weekend. I sent a message and had a clear answer quickly.

Perimenopause counted too.

I’m still having periods, so I assumed I was too early. The doctor explained perimenopause and why my symptoms still counted.

Hormone therapy questions, answered

As estrogen and progesterone fall during perimenopause and menopause, hormone therapy replaces some of what your body is making less of. It is most often used for hot flashes, night sweats, sleep trouble, and vaginal dryness. Your physician decides if it is a fit for you.

Each form has a different routine and a different way into the body. Pills are the simplest to take. Patches and creams absorb through the skin, and some people prefer them because they skip the liver. Your physician recommends a form based on your health and preferences.

If you still have a uterus, estrogen taken alone can thicken the uterine lining over time. Progesterone helps protect it. Your physician decides whether you need it based on your history.

Many women notice changes in hot flashes and sleep within a few weeks. Fuller relief can take a few months. Individual results vary, and your physician can adjust your plan.

Common effects include breast tenderness, bloating, headache, nausea, and spotting, which often ease as your body adjusts. Hormone therapy can also raise the risk of blood clots and some other conditions for certain women. Tell your care team about anything new, and report sudden chest pain, leg swelling, or severe headache right away.

Women with a history of breast cancer, blood clots, stroke, unexplained vaginal bleeding, or certain liver disease are generally not a fit. Age and how long since your last period also matter. Your physician reviews your full history and makes the call.

A compounded medication is prepared by a licensed pharmacy for a specific patient. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and they are not the same as any brand-name product. Your plan shows exactly what you are receiving, and it ships from a licensed US 503A pharmacy that tests it first.

No office visit is needed to start. A licensed US physician reviews your online intake, including your symptoms and history. If they want labs or a recent mammogram on file, they will tell you.

Plans are billed per plan term, and the price does not change with your dose. Shipping is included, and you pay nothing unless a physician approves your treatment. It is cash pay with no insurance needed, and FSA and HSA funds can be used.

Yes. You can cancel online at any time, with no phone call and no form. If you stop, symptoms may return, so message your care team first and your physician can help you taper or change your plan.
