How regrowth works

Thinning in women often has more than one cause, so the plan targets more than one.

Heard from our members

Real members, in their own words, on what changed after their first visit.

It stopped taking over my day.

I started changing my part to cover the thinning, then checking it every time I passed a mirror. It was taking up more of my day than I wanted to admit. I wanted someone to take it seriously. The doctor asked about what I’d noticed and talked me through the options. Having that conversation made it feel less like something I had to figure out alone.

They checked the causes first.

I assumed it was just age. The doctor asked about stress, my cycle and a recent illness, and suggested labs before anything else. It felt like she was looking for the reason, not just handing me a product.

After my second baby, I needed answers.

The shedding after my daughter was born scared me. The doctor explained what was likely happening and what we could do once I was ready. I felt reassured instead of rushed.

I didn’t have to explain twice.

Every other appointment started from zero. Here, my history was already there when the doctor followed up, and she remembered what I’d said worried me most. That continuity mattered more than I expected.

One plan instead of five products.

I was layering serums, vitamins and a shampoo, hoping one of them worked. The doctor helped me understand what each ingredient does and pared it down to one formula. My bathroom counter thanks her.

She took my part line seriously.

Friends said it looked fine, but I could see it widening. The doctor didn’t brush it off. She asked when I first noticed it and what had changed around that time.

I understood the timeline.

Knowing it would be months before I’d see much helped me stop checking the mirror every day. The doctor gave me a realistic picture up front, so I wasn’t disappointed at week three.

Menopause and my hair, finally linked.

Nobody had connected my thinning to menopause before. The doctor asked about both together and explained how they relate. It was a relief to hear it wasn’t in my head.

Messages that actually got answered.

I had a question about taking my chew with my iron supplement. I sent it in through my account and had a clear answer the same afternoon.

Private, which mattered to me.

I didn’t want to talk about this in a waiting room. Answering at home, in my own words, made it easier to be completely honest about how much it was bothering me.

Hair loss questions, answered

Female hair thinning has many causes, including hormone shifts, genetics, stress, thyroid changes, and low iron. Your physician looks at your intake and any labs to understand what may be behind it. Treatment depends on that picture, so it is not the same for everyone.

Minoxidil helps follicles stay in their growth phase and extends the time hair grows. Spironolactone blocks the effect of androgen hormones on the scalp, which can slow thinning in some women. Your physician may use one or combine them.

Hair grows slowly, so most women need several months of steady use before judging. Some people shed a little at the start as the hair cycle resets, which is expected. Individual results vary.

Minoxidil can cause scalp irritation, unwanted hair on the face or body, and, in the oral form, dizziness, fast heartbeat, or swelling. Spironolactone can cause more frequent urination, lightheadedness, irregular periods, and changes in potassium. Tell your care team about anything new, and your physician can adjust your plan.

Spironolactone should not be used during pregnancy, so you will need to avoid pregnancy while taking it. Women with kidney problems, high potassium, or certain heart conditions may not be a fit, and your physician reviews your full history first. If you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding, tell us on your intake.

A video visit is not needed to start. A licensed US physician reviews your online intake, and may ask for recent labs, such as blood work for potassium or thyroid, if they are relevant. Your care team helps you through that step.

A compounded medication is prepared by a licensed pharmacy for a specific patient, sometimes combining ingredients into one dose. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and they are not the same as any brand-name product. Your plan shows what you are receiving.

Plans are billed per plan term, and the price does not change with your dose. Shipping is included, and you pay nothing unless a physician approves your treatment. No insurance is needed, and FSA and HSA funds can be used.

Yes. You can cancel online at any time, with no phone call and no form. Your care team is also there if you want to adjust your plan instead.

These treatments help only while you use them, so thinning can return gradually after you stop. If you are thinking about stopping, message your care team first so your physician can talk through your options.
