Pinealon and PE-22-28 are different experimental peptides, sometimes combined in marketing with Selank. Their evidence bases are not interchangeable. A small human report involving Pinealon and preclinical PE-22-28 experiments do not establish an approved cognitive or mood treatment, and neither validates a mixture containing both substances. 1, 2

Pinealon

A 2015 report described Pinealon and Vesugen in adults with multiple illnesses and organic brain syndrome in remission. The report’s size, clinical context and surrogate aging measures limit what it can establish. Its conclusions should not be generalized into a promise of better memory or slower aging in healthy adults. 1

PE-22-28

The 2017 primary study examined a shortened spadin analog, TREK-1 channel activity and behavioral experiments in mice. A mouse behavioral test is not a human depression-treatment result. Cell-level activity also does not establish clinical absorption, effectiveness or long-term safety. 2

Combination limits

Adding Selank creates a different intervention. Separate publications on ingredients cannot establish compatibility, safety or benefit for a combined injection. Product identity, route and clinical outcomes would all need direct evidence. This page does not establish approval or patient access.

Pinealon evidence limits

The located Pinealon report was small, used surrogate biological-age measures and included combinations with another peptide. It cannot establish durable cognitive, neuroprotective or longevity benefit, and the contribution of Pinealon alone is unclear. The report also noted findings that do not support a simple antioxidant narrative. A foreign or older study does not establish current U.S. approval, product quality or route-specific safety. Marketing should describe the design and uncertainty rather than present a rejuvenation conclusion. 1

PE-22-28 remains preclinical

The cited PE-22-28 paper used cell assays and mouse behavioral models. An antidepressant-like response in an animal test is not a diagnosed depression treatment, proof of neurogenesis in people or evidence of rapid human benefit. Species, route, exposure and behavioral endpoints differ. No dosing conversion from mice can resolve those gaps. People with depression, suicidal thoughts or major mood change need established clinical assessment and crisis care when urgent, not substitution of a research peptide. 2

Do not combine evidence by theme

Pinealon and PE-22-28 are different experimental peptides. Grouping them under brain, anti-aging or bioregulator language does not create evidence for a combination. A blend would need exact identity, purity, stability, route, human pharmacology and controlled outcomes of its own. Seller certificates and testimonials do not establish those points. Any patient-facing reference should remain educational and should not provide protocols, expected timelines or claims that a nasal, oral or injected product reproduces the cited research. 1, 2

Urgent mental-health care remains established care

People considering experimental cognitive or mood peptides may already have depression, anxiety, insomnia or cognitive symptoms. Worsening mood, suicidal thoughts, mania, severe confusion or new neurologic deficits requires prompt established medical care. Do not wait for a research product to work, increase it or combine it with another peptide. Bring all substances used to the evaluation because they may complicate symptoms and interactions. 1, 2
