What the label covers

Severe pelvic or abdominal pain, marked bloating, rapid weight gain, vomiting, reduced urine, chest pain or breathing difficulty requires prompt assessment. Multiple pregnancy is another material risk. Treatment should occur with clinicians experienced in fertility care and appropriate ultrasound or laboratory monitoring. Do not repeat an injection or change timing based on a home test without instructions from the treatment team. 1
Male fertility and hormone plans
In selected male uses, hCG acts through testicular stimulation and is not the same as external testosterone. Fertility goals, pituitary or testicular diagnosis, semen assessment and hormone monitoring determine whether it is relevant. Gynecomastia, fluid retention, headache, mood change or injection reactions can occur. Combining hCG with testosterone, clomiphene or an aromatase inhibitor needs one coherent rationale; adding medicines to correct isolated laboratory values can obscure adverse effects and does not guarantee preservation of fertility. 1
Product identity and home testing
Pregnancy tests detect hCG and can remain positive after a prescribed injection, so test timing needs interpretation from the fertility team. A positive home test immediately after treatment does not by itself confirm pregnancy. Compounded or online hCG products may differ from Pregnyl, and historic diet products are not validated by fertility labeling. Keep the vial, lot and administration record with the cycle plan. 1
