Refund Policy
Effective: June 20, 2026
1Our promise
- No charge until your prescribing clinician approves your treatment plan.
- Auto-renewal at your selected cadence and the prevailing rate posted at renewal.
- Renewal reminders sent in advance of each renewal in accordance with state automatic-renewal laws.
- Cancel anytime via patient portal or [email protected]. No retention pop-ups.
- Cancel before your next billing cycle: we refund any unshipped portion (Section 6).
2Subscription tiers and how billing works
At launch, we offer two subscription tiers: a 1-Month plan at $300 per month and a 3-Month (Quarterly) plan at $250 per month. Each tier recurs until you pause or cancel. Pricing varies by treatment category and is shown in full at checkout. Current pricing: https://sipra.com/pricing.
2.1Auth-Then-Capture Flow
Sipra does not charge your card on a fixed cycle date. Your card is charged only when a licensed physician at our affiliated medical practice has reviewed and approved your treatment for that cycle. If your physician declines treatment for any cycle (including renewal), you owe nothing for that cycle.
2.2Billing Descriptor And Auto-Renewal
Charges appear as "SIPRA\*HEALTH" or "SIPRA*HEALTH". Auto-renewal is at the prevailing rate posted at renewal (reminder cadence: Section 1).
California subscribers receive an additional reminder 7 to 15 days before each annual renewal anniversary, consistent with California’s automatic-renewal law.
2.3California: Affirmative Consent For Material Modifications
California residents: For any change to subscription terms, price increases, recurring-fee changes, or cadence changes, Sipra obtains your affirmative consent before applying it. Continuing shipments does not constitute consent. Required by Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code §17600 et seq., as amended by AB 2863, effective July 1, 2025.
3Refund eligibility
3.1Why Post-Shipment Refunds Are Not Possible
Compounded medications are made for one patient under a patient-specific prescription. Federal and state pharmacy law forbids returning compounded product to inventory or re-dispensing it, at every 503A pharmacy.
3.2Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds post to your original payment method per the Section 6 timelines.
4Multi-month tier proration
The 3-Month (Quarterly) plan is paid as a single up-front charge for the quarter. Medication ships after physician approval. If your physician discontinues treatment mid-quarter, any portion of the prescription that has not yet been transmitted to the pharmacy is refunded pro rata. Medication already prepared or shipped is not eligible for refund. Patient-initiated cancellations after the prescription has been transmitted to the pharmacy follow the rules in §3.
5How to cancel
Cancel through your patient portal at sipra.com/account. Phone and email support route you to portal cancellation guidance. Cancellation is processed automatically through the portal.
No phone call required. No retention pop-ups, hold-time scripts, or menus designed to make you give up. Our process complies with ROSCA (15 USC §§8401-8405) and state ARLs.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period; portal access and clinician messaging remain until then.
6Pre-renewal cutoff, renewal price, and refund processing timeline
Cancel any time through your patient portal. To prevent your next refill from being prepared and shipped, please cancel at least 13 calendar days before the end of your current paid period. The 3 calendar days before each physician review are the cancel-lock window. Cancellations submitted during the lock window are still honored if your physician has not yet approved and the prescription has not yet been transmitted to the pharmacy.
If your renewal price changes, we notify you at least 30 days in advance; you can cancel during that window without paying the new rate.
Refund processing timeline. Refunds are typically initiated within 5-10 business days; bank processing may add 1-5 days. We email you when the refund issues.
7Pause-with-auto-resume
A pause request must be received at least 13 calendar days before your physician's next review to skip that cycle; otherwise it applies to the following cycle. A pause does not stop a shipment already approved by your physician. Pauses lasting 90 days convert to cancellation; we email you before that takes effect.
7.1Missed Check-In
If you do not complete your recurring check-in by the deadline, your physician will review your existing record and decide whether to continue treatment at your current dose, pause your subscription, or discontinue treatment. If your physician pauses or discontinues, you are not charged.
7.2Mid-Cycle Dose Change
You can request a dose adjustment any time through the patient portal. Your physician will review the request and respond. Approved changes take effect at your next refill, not immediately. Your current refill is not modified.
8Recurring-payment authorization (EFTA Reg E and TILA Reg Z)
By starting a subscription, you authorize Sipra to charge your payment method on a recurring schedule until you cancel. ACH and debit-card payments are governed by the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (Regulation E, 12 CFR Part 1005); credit cards by Regulation Z (12 CFR Part 1026). Revoke at any time by emailing [email protected] or canceling via any channel in Section 5.
9Disputes and chargebacks
If you believe we charged in error, email [email protected] first; we respond promptly and fix any error we caused.
You keep every right under the Truth in Lending Act (15 USC §1666) and Fair Credit Billing Act to dispute a charge with your card issuer, and every EFTA (12 CFR Part 1005) error-resolution right for ACH and debit transactions. We do not ask you to waive these rights, and we do not charge a fee for disputes.
Sipra may suspend or terminate service for any customer who initiates a chargeback without first contacting [email protected]. This does not waive your rights under TILA (15 USC §1666), FCBA, or EFTA (12 CFR Part 1005). We charge no dispute fee.
10State-specific rights
If your state law gives you more protection than this Policy, that law wins. Sipra complies with state automatic-renewal laws including: California (Bus. & Prof. Code §17600 et seq. as amended by AB 2863, eff. July 1, 2025), New York (GBL §527-a), Florida (Fla. Stat. §501.0118), Connecticut (CT SB 3, 1-business-day cancellation processing), Vermont (9 V.S.A. §2454), Illinois (815 ILCS 601), Tennessee (Tenn. Code §47-18-505), DC (DC §28-3904), North Dakota (NDCC §13-09-01), Oregon (ORS 646A.295), Maine, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, and North Carolina.
10.1California
Under Cal. Civil Code §1789.3 and the Automatic Renewal Law (cited above), we provide plain-language disclosure, easy cancellation, pre-renewal reminders, and affirmative consent for material modifications (Section 2.3).
California residents may file a complaint with the Complaint Assistance Unit, Division of Consumer Services, 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or call 1-800-952-5210.
10.2Florida
Under Fla. Stat. §501.0575 (Weight-Loss Consumer Bill of Rights), Florida residents have the right to:
- Ask your treating clinician for written information about the proposed treatment.
- Receive a written copy of any diet, exercise, or treatment plan.
- Refuse any treatment recommendation without losing access to other care.
- Cancel within 3 business days of starting the program and receive a refund of unused fees, less the value of goods or services already received.
Florida ARL disclosures and reminder cadences also apply under Fla. Stat. §501.0118.
10.3New York And Connecticut
NY GBL §527-a gives a 30-day right to cancel a subscription with refund of any unused portion. Connecticut SB 3 (Public Act 23-167) requires cancellation processing within 1 business day. We meet both.
10.4Other State Automatic-Renewal Laws
Illinois, Vermont, DC, North Dakota, and Tennessee require a renewal reminder before subscriptions of six months or longer auto-renew. Massachusetts, Oregon, New Jersey, North Carolina, Hawaii, Maine, New Mexico, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin add further protections. Sipra’s current launch tiers (1-Month and 3-Month) do not trigger the six-month renewal reminder requirement; Sipra will adopt the applicable reminder cadence if longer tiers are introduced in the future.
11Defective product, shipping damage, and lost shipments
If a shipment arrives damaged, the cold chain failed, or a vial is broken or leaking, email [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery with photos, we ship a free replacement.
If a tracked shipment is marked delivered but missing, email us within 7 days; we work with the carrier and pharmacy. Do not use any vial that is cloudy, discolored, or stored outside refrigerator range, message your prescribing clinician first through the portal.
12Subscription tier upgrades and downgrades
You may move between the 1-Month and 3-Month tiers at any time. Changes take effect at your next renewal at the prevailing rate posted at https://sipra.com/pricing.
California residents: a tier change is a material modification requiring your affirmative consent (see Section 2.3).
13HIPAA framing and information sharing
Sipra acts as a Business Associate to the affiliated medical practice for PHI, under a Business Associate Agreement consistent with HIPAA. Refund and cancellation operations use only the minimum information necessary to administer your account (e.g., payment status, shipment status, refund amounts). See our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices for full PHI use and disclosure.
