Based on publicly available information as of 2026-09-14. Confirm current details on each company's own site.
Start with the actual prescription
Hims lists brand-name options including Wegovy® and Zepbound®, with membership required. Paying for membership does not guarantee a prescription. Availability depends on the product, your eligibility and the clinician’s assessment. 1
Write down the specific product and route you are considering. A tablet, prefilled pen and vial are different experiences, even when each appears under a weight-loss heading. Ask what is available for your situation before comparing prices for products you may not be offered.
Compare the regular bill
Hims lists membership at $39 for the first month, then $149 per month, with medication billed separately. The opening medication price is not the complete monthly bill. Confirm the exact offer, its duration and what happens when it ends. 1
Sipra’s treatment prices include membership and vary by medication and plan. Use the price for the specific plan you would buy, then check anything billed separately. This page does not establish that one provider is cheaper for every prescription. 3
Before checkout, compare the full cost: the amount due today, the normal renewal amount and the amount of medication supplied. Include required testing or shipping charges when applicable. If a price is expressed per month but collected for several months at once, budget for the upfront payment.
Compare the full renewal bill for the same period.
Know who handles the next question
Hims describes ongoing provider messaging. Its terms also describe required medication check-ins for certain pharmacy arrangements. Confirm the process for your plan rather than assuming a refill is automatic. 1, 2
For either provider, ask how to reach the clinical team, when to expect a reply and who handles a pharmacy problem. Billing support and clinical advice are different jobs. If you need a video appointment, in-person assessment or coordination with an existing clinician, confirm that access before enrolling.
Cancellation has more than one part
Hims requires cancellation at least two days before the scheduled billing date. A medication-plan cancellation does not automatically end weight-loss membership. Its terms allow cancellation through the app or online account and describe other contact options. Check your own renewal dates. 2
Before you pay, understand when cancellation takes effect and whether medication has already shipped. Do not assume unused time or medication is refundable. Save the confirmation for each subscription you cancel, and check that the next scheduled charge has been removed.
Check the prescription details
Ask whether the proposed product is FDA-approved or compounded, and whether its intended use is on-label or off-label. Those answers describe the prescription; they do not follow automatically from the provider’s name or the appearance of its website.
Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality before marketing. If one is proposed, ask why it is appropriate for your medical needs, which pharmacy prepares it, and what written storage and use instructions you will receive. 4
